BJJ Accessories
BJJ accessories are the things around the training: the bag that carries the gi, the bottle you refill between rounds, the hat for the drive home. Ours carry the hand-inked belt mark and the lines behind Better Than Yesterday.
What goes in a grappler's bag
Start with the bottle. The Belt by Belt Water Bottle is stainless steel, and at a long open mat it will be refilled more than once. Next, something to carry the gi. The Better Training Partners Gi Tote holds a folded gi or a no-gi kit; a wet gi still needs to come out as soon as you get home, for its sake and your skin's.
The Belt Mark Dad Hat has the belt mark embroidered on the front and is the accessory most likely to be worn outside the gym. It is also a safe gift, since there is no size to guess.
For smaller things, BJJ patches sew onto the bag and BJJ stickers go on the bottle. BJJ keychains are not stocked yet, but that page has a short guide if you want a belt keychain. For training journals, see BJJ training gear.
All of these BJJ accessories are made to order and work on and off the mat, so the bottle and hat don't look out of place at work. Shopping for a training partner? See BJJ gifts, or browse all BJJ apparel and gear.
Frequently asked questions
What's the best way to carry a wet gi after class?
Take it out of the bag and wash it as soon as you get home. A wet gi left in a closed bag is where odor and skin problems start.
Are accessories a good gift for BJJ players?
Yes. A bottle, tote or hat needs no size and gets used every week.
Do the accessories work for no-gi?
Yes. The tote carries a no-gi kit as easily as a gi.
